Harold Bailey

He and his wife, Adonis, have been involved in the education program at Grant Street as teachers for several years. They have been at Grant Street since 1988. Harold and Adonis have one son, two daughters, and five grandchildren. Harold graduated from AuburnUniversity in 1963 and Adonis attended FlorenceState. He has been involved in agriculture for 40 years, and is currently Seed Sales Manager for the Southeast division of United Agri-Products. He and his son also have a cotton operation in LimestoneCounty. Harold is originally from CullmanCounty and Adonis is from MadisonCounty.


Ken Pirtle

He and his wife, Carole, they are both natives of Cullman, Alabama.  They have two children and four grandchildren. All live in Decatur. Carole likes to hunt, garden and read.  Ken enjoys hunting, fishing and taxidermy, and works his farm which is in both Tennesse and Alabama.
 

Jere Spurlin

He and his wife, Ginger, have been a part of the Grant Street family since 1978. Jere attended David Lipscomb University in 1969 and is retired from Delphi Steering Systems. Ginger is a secretary at 3M in Decatur. Jere enjoys golf and building and remodeling houses. They have two children, a son, Will, and a daughter Kate Terry and husband, Jonathan. Kate and Jonathan are members at Grant Street.

Doug Weatherspoon

He and his wife, Carol, came to Grant Street in 1968. Doug graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1964 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Doug retired from 3M Company in 2000. Carol lost a lengthy battle with cancer in 2007. In 2011 Doug married Brenda Jeffreys and she has a son, Justin. Together they have three children, a son in law and daughter in law, and four grandsons. Brenda is a former member of the Point Mallard Parkway Church of Christ and is an employee of AT&T. Together they stay busy fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, and shopping and enjoying the grands

Robert Herring

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. has served as an elder at Grant Street since April 2014, after serving as a Deacon for 4 years. He and his wife, Donna, came to Grant Street in 2009. Robert is from Tupelo, MS and Donna is from McMinnville, TN. Robert retired from Airborne Express as a Supervisor. Robert and Donna both enjoy gardening and reading, Robert also enjoys classic car shows and photography. They have two children, a son, Matthew, and a daughter, Sarah, both are members at Grant Street.
